Service. Scheduling service. Logistics. Ordering replacement parts. Site Coordination. This all sounds very simple & systematic doesn’t it? These are just a few of the functions of a service company; Our service company. We do these and a whole lot more. Nothing robotic or insignificant here, rather … every move matters – similar to the pit crew of a racing team. AirTight’s Production crew is our “pit crew” of service which we call “production” and is comprised of: Kate Wehner and Linda Dominick, both with over 7 years of service, Mandy Baumgart with nearly 6 years, Sandy Thuan with over 2 years and finally, Rachel Daschler and Bruce Wright approaching 2 years.
We all know great teams are made up of many players. This article is to show-case & highlight our behind the scenes players. Our Production Team. When I think of this group, three words come to mind: Knowledge, Diversity and Excellence.
Knowledge: Whether individual or shared, they are continuously compounding their knowledge through individual and collective experiences. Whether living through a compressor replacement in the rain or an in-house bearing training session, all the way to a walk-through/tour of AirTight’s experience center and review of our in-house training program HVAC 101 with local property managers. The Production crew is stretching daily to gain and maintain industry, critical environment and company understanding.
Diversity: Production is comprised of many diverse backgrounds and skill sets. From a crane coordinator, printing expert, paralegal work, former HVAC industry experience, supply chain experience, a multitude of customer service experiences along with AirTight experience and training; AirTight is diversified.
Excellence: Whether coordinating a proper response to a service need, ordering appropriate replacement parts & supplies for scheduled repairs or in their weekly labor scheduling to map out the upcoming labor requirements: Production is tweaking, working, re-working and strategizing for the most efficient, right-fit solutions.
What does all of this mean for you? In summary, AirTight’s Production team is built upon the best talent that we can find. Our group understands “the whole” and is not looking for or at “the one”. Production consistently strives for an understanding of why we do what we do. Why it’s important to establish an open line of communication with a new customer … beginning with defining how that first invoice will be paid down to why a faulty compressor diagnosis at 4:45pm, resulting in a unit being down & out-of-service requires problem solving and processing as if it were found at 12:45pm due to being a 24×7 facility. Even though the site contact may state, “it can wait until Monday when she returns”, we do not wait. Production is not in the business of taking orders and passing that order along. Production is in the business of understanding our operation from office to field, through sales and then understanding your business so that we, as a company, can understandably meet and exceed your needs and help you.
For those readers whose business we have earned, you may be reading this and saying “yes, this is and has been my experience”, Thank You for trusting in us. For those reading whom we have not yet had the opportunity to earn your business, put us to the test. Production is one cog in our wheel between sold and serviced. We look forward to continuing our existing customer’s service and to serving new needs.
